May 5  thru November 17,  Fairport Farmers’ Market on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to Noon.

 

Located in the village parking lot behind the Bank of America.

 

May 19 Perinton Hold Hazardous Waste Day

 

Perinton residents may drop off household hazardous waste between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. with an appointment, call 225115.  Up to five boxes of household paper to be destroyed and e waste may be dropped off without an appointment.

May 28 Memorial Day

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8495 will hold the annual Memorial Day Parade on May 28, 2012 beginning at 10:00 A.M.  The parade will start at the corner of Whitney Road and Main Street; continue south on Main Street to Church Street and west on Church Street to Potter Park, where the parade will end and ceremonies will follow.



June 1 - 3 Fairport Canal Days

Hours of the event start on Friday 4:30 P.M. to 10 pm, Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.

The Fairport Public Library and the Perinton Recreation and Parks Department sponsor this event.  

 

June 9 to July 21 Moonlight Concert Series from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To be performed in the gazebo at Kennelley Park on June 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th and July 14th and 21st

June 10, Fairport Girl Scouts Bridging 4:00 p.m.


The Fairport Girl Scouts will hold its fourth annual community bridging ceremony.  The Girl Scouts will assemble at Fairport Junction parade onto Liftbridge Lane headed west, then south on Main Street over the Liftbridge and enter Kennelley Park completing the ceremony at the gazebo.


June 28, The Great Race 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

The Great Race will be held on Main Street, from Church Street to High Street, for lunch.  There will be events related to the race in Kennelley Park.  For more information: http://www.thegreatrace.com/.

 

August 3, Angel Walk 2012, 6:00 p.m.

The walk will begin at 6 p.m. at the Kennelley Park gazebo, traveling north over the Liftbridge to the canal path, west to Perinton Park, east on Church Street to Hulburt Avenue, follow Hulburt Avenue to Hulburt Road to Route 250 and return to Kennelley Park Gazebo.  The proceeds will go to the Joey Fund administered by the Fairport Central School System.

August 25, Fairport Music and Food Festival

 
The festival will take place on Liftbridge Lane East and in Kennelley Park.  For more information:

October 13, Scarecrow Safe Journey 5K Run/Walk

Safe Journey will hold the 10th Annual Scarecrow Safe Journey 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 7:00A.M. - Noon.  For more information go to Rochester Safe Journey
