The Fairport Village Court is in session on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month to hear criminal, civil, small claims, as well as parking and traffic cases starting at 2:30 P.M. On the second Thursday starting at 2:30 P.M. the Court is in session for arraignment.
Cases involving private defense counsel will begin at 4:30 P.M. Stenographers are not provided by the Court. Anyone desiring such service should make proper arrangements.
The Court Clerk’s Office is located on the second floor in the Village Hall and is open Tuesday through Friday 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
The Village Court has jurisdiction over cases involving all misdemeanors and violations that occur within the Village of Fairport. The Court also has jurisdiction over cases involving summary proceedings (landlord/tenant evictions), small claims up to $3,000, and all Village Ordinance Violations including parking tickets.
