Alcohol Consumption Permit

Background
The Village of Fairport Alcoholic Beverages Policy is governed by Chapter 163 of the Village Code known as "Alcoholic Beverages". Within this section of the Code, it is unlawful for any person to consume alcoholic beverages while on a public street, lane, sidewalk, public parking lot, public or quasi-public place or in any public conveyance.

However, there is an exemption in the event of a fair, picnic, or other community gathering for which special permission has been granted by the Village of Fairport through the issuance of a Permit.


Applying for an Alcohol Comsumtion Permit
  • Return a completed signed Application to the Clerk-Treasurer's Office no less than fifteen (15) days prior to the proposed event date
  • Upon receipt of the application, the Village Clerk will refer to the Fairport Chief of Police for approval in regards to the Public health and safety of such an exemption
  • The permit shall be issued by the Village Clerk no more than ten (10) days after the application is submitted
  • The permit will be issued AFTER payment has been made
