The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining Fairport’s public infrastructure, which includes a network of streets and sidewalks, the sanitary and storm sewer systems, parking lots, parks, cemeteries, trees, and municipal buildings and waterfront facilities. Public Works is also responsible for the planning and execution of capital improvements to preserve and enhance this infrastructure with the ultimate objective of preserving property values and creating a safe and high-quality environment for Village of Fairport residents and businesses.
